Personally at that amount I would be swapping out the motor. My last motor swap, grabbed a real nice 112K one I saw running in a CL 4runner, had the guy pull it for a total of $1,200, we put it in cargo area in the back of my 4runner.
Got another guy to swap my old one out and put this one in for a waaaaay low price of $500 (wasn't even worth me doing it myself), actually it was less than that, I felt guilty and paid him more. So grand total for me was $1,700, couldn't have been happier. That motor has over 307K on it now.
I know this is after the fact but, cause I know others can benefit - There are options to not take such a beating, I think its good to weigh them out. Motors can be had at a good price. If you don't install it yourself, shop around, you can find somebody to do it at a good cost.
