Hi KuhDunkADunk, (Lol!)
That's a great idea//place for the bass/sub volume knob! When I was using the
'JL Audio mono-blocks', I used their Telephone cable input plugs to connect my bass/sub volume knobs to the amps. I also drilled a 1/4 inch(?), hole in the "Knee bolster air-bag panel"!
Well, when I switched over to the
"Alpine PDX-1200 sub amps, I found that their Telephone cable input plugs didn't work right; turning the bass volume knob up from the 7 O'clock position resulted in FULL OUTPUT at about 9 O'clock, then petered off from then on????!
So. I started using a
"Standard" bass volume rheostat/potentiometer instead, for a linear increase in low frequency volume. I also had to move the knob to a new location because the rheostat case was too large for the original location that I'd chosen:
"THE CONFIGURATION PLAN"
So now it works as it should, it's inconspicuous, and very easy to operate from the driver seat! ...I love your set-up as well!
'Best',
rig, cheers!
