Isn't Mavcoat a drying wax based treatment too? That seems to be the only thing that I've used, and heard from others too, that works the most reliably without using wet-types like oil-based.

Mine looked top notch for two years, their coating just simply wore off and wore off quick (even after their suggestions of waxing them). I was looking to just purchase new tubes to the tune of $350 for the pair, we'll see how well the clean up first.
I am curious about coil-over covers, I have seen a few folks use them I am wondering how well they keep CO's protected, particularly in winter weather that killed mine.
