Got my Pioneer MVH-1400NEX installed this weekend. Not gunna lie, it was kind of a pain to do, but that's because I chose to do it in the dark by the light of a headlamp with full humidity (thanks NC weather) and hella mosquitoes.

Overall very happy with it after the install though. It has performed really well once I turned up some of the volume settings. It also has the integration with iDataLink Maestro. Very cool little piece and I'm glad I got it. Also managed to install the little signal usb/charging usb port that some others on this forum have used. Put it in place of that pesky DAC button that my gf always somehow manages to touch when in my car. I ended up just relocating it into some of the free space under the shifter plastics. It's just laying there underneath so if I ever need to re-install it it's right there.

On another note, I had bought and planned to install some new door speakers as well. I went with the Focal Integration components series speakers. After installing the driver side front door system, I decided to do a test bump and man am I glad I did. The tweeter was literally no louder than my phone volume.....I walked over to the other side of the car to see how loud the stock system was...it wasn't even close....the Focals did not hold a candle to the stock stuff. After awhile of being on the phone with Crutchfield customer service we ended up coming to the conclusion that my only option for significantly better sound would come from me replacing all the door speakers and powering them with an amp as well as replacing my stock amp and stock sub with an aftermarket unit. Also I would have to run all new speaker wire everywhere. So better audio is off the table for awhile...besides, my speakers still sound pretty good imo
