That's the sad reality of living outside of USA - local aftermarket is almost non-existing and shipping charges of bulk of heavy item is doubling the US price. Then EU customs is adding 23% VAT (that is 23% of price plus shipping) to make the overall cost of 2.5 more expensive than for USA folks. In that context OEM dealer price is quite attractive. Even if someone is giving that skid away, the shipping cost would make it cost more than a brand new one bought from a local Toyota dealer.

The real question is not how to buy it, but what to buy. It will be a special order for a dealer (in the whole country there are probably less than ten 5th gen 4Runners) and most of them are probably already converted to LPG. I just don't want to end up with the same half-skid what I already have. Part numbers are so confusing as they show both pictures (full and half skid) under the same part number.

My "Bismarck" is the first 5th Gen 4Runner in Poland. Local Land Cruiser Diesel is just a luxury form of a farm tractor.

Motto: Diesel is for heating, gas is for cooking, electricity is for lights. Cars use petrol.
