Help with check engine is on and truck is in limp mode.
I wouldn’t worry about the light and codes unless they come back when you put a good battery back in.
I had an issue after a jump start in my 4th gen. Maybe it was in limp mode, but it wouldn’t accelerate at all and was limited to something like idle rpm range.
Turning the vehicle off and back on did nothing. I just decided to disconnect/reconnect the battery and tried to reset the ecu. That did it for mine.
When the vehicle was first jumped, I was sitting in the vehicle when the cables were connected and I started right away. I thought that maybe some sensor was trying to recalibrate or something and the quick start messed it up.
When I restarted after disconnecting the battery, I waited for a little with the key in the on position and then started.
Not sure if that helps at all, or what was really the problem in my situation,.
