We had a shaking steering wheel in our 2005 4 runner 150,000 miles, and a few years ago.
It needed and got a new front wheel bearing, and the shaking SW is gone.
Have them look at your front lower control arms with three bushings (assembly - one on each side) and the front sway bars (2). They wear out.
