Ugh, yeah. Seatbelts are such a basic item.
Also keep in mind that seatbelts wear out over time: When we bought our T4R with 340k miles on it the first step was replacing the seatbelts and we went OEM not some unknown aftermarket.
My seatbelt has saved me in some prior accidents and I can't imagine not wearing it. I have a general rule for passengers; First, if you don't like how I'm driving let me know and I'll adjust to make you more comfortable. Second, I'm not moving until your seatbelt is on.
It's not MY driving I don't trust, it's all the other idiots on the road.
And yeah I've made plenty of mistakes driving so I'm sure I fall under the "other idiot" category sometimes.
