Nothing of concern, all very fine dust, but I was still glad to get all that out of there. The front was still super clean but really can't know until it's drained. I have read of a lot of things being used in the transfer case including gear oil but that's just not for me. Some people say it works, some people say they have a hard time getting into 4lo My view is, just use what's called for and have that peace of mind.

You and I are on the same page with our fluid intervals, I’ll be dumping my Factory gear oil at 10k, transmission and transfer case at 40-50k, Factory engine oil at 2-3k and every 5k after that. It’s a system I’ve been using many years and has served me well. My HD trucks I always did 30k for diffs, transmission and tcase.
People think I’m crazy to change me diffs at 30k but look at this>

Now imagine all the highways speed driving, towing, off-roading and everything in between. Gear oil gets beat and needs sensible service intervals.
