It's only been ~6 months from my original post, but I haven't noticed any deterioration of either the door seal or the latex tubing. Honestly, you probably won't even need the lubricant if you're worried about it's effects on the other components. I got it as a fail safe, but didn't have too much trouble pulling the tubing through the seal.
