Well if you want to get technical , 255/75/17 has a diameter of 32.1”, width 10” and a sidewall 7.5” the 275/70/17 has a diameter of 32.2” width of 10.8” and sidewall of 7.6” of course dependant on different tire manufacturers ... so they are both nearly identical with the biggest difference being in width !!
