^^this. Put a TRD exhaust on it and you'll think it might actually blow up before it gets to redline.
The thing's a dog, and the 'makes a lot of noise but doesn't go any faster' nature of it's engine at high RPM gives away how old this V6 is. Modern engines have flatter curves. My Tahoe, though much heavier, I have no doubt can get out on the 4Runner at any speed.
