Sailer, (former GSE1(SW) myself) this has been my dedicated studded snow tires mounted on separate rims. At the first sign I am going to need them I pull the truck in the garage and put them on. I feel like doing something similar with the 4Runner. I bought my snows for my truck in 2001. I’m still using them. My truck wasn’t my DD so they didn’t get a lot of milage on them.
They are very soft. Braking hard in my truck would produce tire marks on the road looking in my mirror. These were great in rain and most excellent in freezing rain.
I need to come up with a spare set of wheels if I decided to do this with my Toy.
