VSC, TRAC, and ABS lights sounds like a potential issue with the ABS system. Gas cap and charcoal canister should be totally unrelated. As recommended, pull the ABS codes to see what the car thinks is the issue. There are all sorts of things that could be the problem.

Also, just to be sure you realize, the ABS/brake system on your 01 is totally different to all 96-00 trucks. 01s and 02s have a completely different (and more complex) ABS/traction control system that is more similar to the modern Toyotas. It uses an electric motor and pump to build vacuum for brake assist and ABS/traction control brake application, rather than engine vacuum. It's also able to brake individual wheels to aid traction...hence the complexity.
