I ended up ordering the Sherpa rack since they were on sale, figured worst case scenario I could always sell it if it doesn't have enough clearance for my attachments. Would be nice if they offer a low or high clearance option on their roof racks, I would think it'd be pretty simple to do with just taller mounting feet and taller side panels. I can see people who have to worry about garage clearance wanting low profile racks, but I'm sure there's plenty who don't and would like an extra inch or two of clearance to work with under the crossbars.

Thanks for your order! Another option you may be able to do to mount the Skybox is to remove the clamping mounts underneath and directly bolt through the skybox into t nuts inside the crossbars. I have never seen the way they mount but I assume it is similar to the Yakima ski racks and this is the method we often use. It creates a nice secure way that is also harder for thieves to remove as well, but very simple if you plan to take it on and off.
