I've driven manual transmission vehicles for well over 30 years, and this T4R is like the second AT vehicle I've owned. In certain circles MTs are sought after and since they are getting rare(er), they can maintain decent resale.
Have you seen the price of FJ60s (MT only) lately compared to, say the newer FJ62s (AT only)? A few years ago, an FJ60 in decent condition was a $3-6K sale, I've seen moderate to decent condition FJ60s sell for $10-20+K in the past year.
I sold my FJ60 this year for more than I bought it for after owning it for 20 years, so there is still a demand for MT vehicles.
