I've seen those search results you posted. For removal they basically say to remove the bolt, nut & locking plate and it can be pulled off. I've done all that, the problem is I'm having difficulty trying to pull it off the transmission which is why I asked how much force is needed to slide it off or if there's something else that needs to be done to remove the switch.
