The company I drive for has these "safety" sensors on our new tractors. I find them quite distracting.
I've had my drivers license 43 years. I've never been in an accident where I was a fault. I have been in 2 this year in this new tractor with the bells and whistles (both again not my fault).
I was just recognized for driving 1,500,000 miles accident-free. All in tractors that didn't have the nanny systems.
I drive about 150,000 miles every year (OTR truck driver).
I've always felt that people would drive more responsibly if the airbag was replaced with a steel spike, yet still deploy under the same circumstances.
