I think this is more of a case of wishful thinking than reality. Ive seen more FJ's sell for $8-13k from the 07-10 years, and $15-18k for anything post 2011. When you really dig down and compare a similar year 4runner, the prices are pretty close in almost every case.

I loved my FJ, and in some ways like it more than the new 4runner, but man i do love the extra space.
