I traded my 2012 FJ in 2017 and received $24,500 for it, but since I only paid $28,900 for it from the same dealer and it had about 35K miles on it and needed tires, I thought that was a good hold on its value.
as for the price of $33K for a 2014, you really did not tell what sort of options it had, so it is somewhat hard to say if that is a reasonable price or not.
