Maybe you can fab up (or have someone do it) a U-bracket? Mount the lights on the bracket, and make sure the strips on either sides are long enough to give you the clearance you need. Or, instead of a U-bracket, just have a plate made with holes drilled out to mount to the bumper, and holes for the lights.
Thanks for this. I’ll put this on the list of things to consider when I do order a bumper in the future.
