Broken door handle...

The drivers side rear door handle broke. The nub behind the actual handle broke and thats what seems to keep the handle on. I tried pulling the door card off but seems without other more severe intervention im not sure its worth it to fix. Not the end of the world, but do any of you know a crafty way to fix this?

My wife rips of the door handle. Often. I have to consciously not pull back toward the end of the car when opening the door.
