I concur, no need to mess with pressure valves. Just put a bottle jack under the piston, unbolt the brackets, and lower the bottle jack a little to roll the brackets back enough for tab to release. Opposite to re-attach.

For the install, try to have 2 jacks. A floor jack for the LCA and a bottle or floor jjack for the KDSS piston. Use some wood to bl;ock the hub up. there is a good write up on here with instructions. See attached. I didnt write these and reccomend you fully understand what you are doing, springs have a good bit of tension on them!!!
