But, I've read (whatever that's worth) that the v6 isn't as good long-term, because the chain eventually gives out and then the engine is toast. Being able to replace the timing belt, and on my own, is a big perk to keeping an engine running. That and regular maintenance.
I can't do timing chains, way harder
