I guess a chain is maybe more involved... I'll do it when the time comes.
From what I've read (whatever that's worth) lol.. the chain usually will stretch first instead of outright failure, usually throws a code with it.
I've also read, and seen, people not keeping up with oil changes getting chains stretching on them a lot sooner than people who do the regular maintenance.
not trying to get on a soapbox or anything here...
Looking forward to hearing how the truck is when you get to see it. I would be dying having to wait that long, hope all goes well.
