Sorry its been a while since I did it and cant really remember. Hope it helps.
Hello Nayte and everyone - I am resurrecting a thread from about nine years ago!! I just picked up an amazing 1992 manual 4x4 that I know I will keep forever. The motor and transmission are in great shape but the interior is gross. I guess it was left outside and the right rear window was missing so some mice or rats basically lived in it for a while. Anyway I was having trouble getting the console totally off then the tip from this thread to remove the screws inside storage compartment of console did it. But now I still am having trouble removing the black motor underneath which will need to come out to get carpet in. I can see that there are two thick hoses towards the back and that is what is keeping it there but can barely get any room to reach a tool in there. How can I disconnect the hoses in a way that I can reconnect them? Thanks for the help. I have been browsing this forum for years to learn and I just finally signed up earlier today.
