Yeah, the whole Toyota oil change thing is another of the few reasons I miss my '20 Rubicon. It's filter was super easy to get to and the oil change could be done in 15-20 minutes with zero mess. But with the 4Runner, I just plan on setting aside an hour of "me time" and go out there and get it done. I enjoy wrenching on vehicles so the extra time is not a problem. The mess on the other hand is rather annoying. Toyota makes a great vehicle but they should also learn to make them more likable in terms of maintenance and up-to-date technology.
