Door pocket
What do you put in the shallow door storage pocket right under the handle? Can’t figure out a purpose.

I think the OP is referring to the long narrow slot just below the handle, not the foot level pocket on the door.
The slot will not hold much , but I did notice that a 9 mm magazine fits nicely in there.
