Anyone have experience using an ORP alloy wheel on the spare?

I'm about to upgrade to Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs (stock 265/70/17) on my 2020 ORP and am planning to go ahead and swap the steel spare wheel with another alloy one to make 5-tire rotation possible.

I've been trying to figure out if it will fit the same under the car as the steel wheel and if there is much risk of scuffs/scratches to the alloy. I actually have one of the alloy wheels under there right now, as I ended up with a punctured sidewall over the weekend and it seems like it is sitting a little lower than the steel wheel. Am I wrong? Would a cover for the spare be worth picking up?

I've done a decent amount of googling and the closest thing that I found to an in-depth discussion on the topic was a thread in here from 2013. I very well may have missed something, so go easy.
