My current set up is fox 2.5 all around, dirt king lower kdss arms, wheelers offroad bumpstops, new spindles with gussets welded in.

The Dirt King LCA's seem to be the big difference I see. It seems likely to be the case that the LCAs do not share the same relationship with up travel and bump stop contact so they would allow more up travel before contacting the bump stops.
