I also have the CS144. I used to have 2 optima yellows. I still have the battery tray I welded mounted if I want to run a second again. It was in the back left corner of the engine bay.
I had my 100w panel on mine when I went on my 5 month road trip. Where did you tie yours in at? I used the aux power outlet in back but at the relay it was only getting 7v.

Oh so you dont have the ABS setup in the way. I need to remove that so I can have a better battery setup.
