Has anyone else had a bad experience with Wheel Adapters USA?

I ordered 4 lug centric wheel adapters that changed the stud pattern from the standard 4runner 6x139.7 lug pattern to 6x135 in order to mount 6x135 wheels on my 4runner. I received the wheel adapters in February and mounted them with my new wheels at the end of February. After mounting them, I had a vibration while driving at times. In attributed it to the new adapters and wheels, and got hub rings and extended thread lug nuts in an attempt to make the seating of the wheels and adapters tighter in order to get rid of the vibration. That didn't do much, so I took it to an alignment shop just to see if the alignment may be a factor. They pointed out that when looking at the studs coming from the wheel adapter through the stud holes on the wheels, the studs were off center in the holes by a few millimeters. They simply said something was off, and they couldn't do anything alignment wise because of it.

When I got home, I pulled the wheel and adapter off, and low and behold, that adapter was a 6x139.7 to 6x139.7 instead of the 6x139.7 to 6x135 that I ordered. The other three were the correct adapters. I knew it wasn't safe or right to drive the setup another inch, so I pulled all four wheels / tires / adapters off and took them and my OEM wheels to the tire shop and got the tires swapped back to the original wheels for $100.

I had been driving the bad setup for almost two weeks, and I felt lucky that nothing truly awful had come of it. I immediately got in touch with wheel adapters USA. It was mid March at this point. I explained the situation, and asked for the ability to return the wheel adapters for a refund as my wife refused to let me try the setup with wheel adapters going forward because of the situation, and I didn't want to shell out another $100 to swap the tires back again if I did have the correctly sized fourth wheel adapter. I just wanted to cut my losses and get my money back due to a bad situation that had been instigated by them sending me one adapter that was the wrong size. I wish they had sent me one that was way off as the wrong size because I would have realized the issue immediately and never mounted the wheels had the wheel not fit on the studs in the first place. I want to point out that their website states:

"Our number one goal is total customer satisfaction, so you can rest assured knowing you’ll promptly get exactly what you ordered."

At any rate, the sales rep (had to talk to sales because the return department never answers the phone there) I talked to said I needed to talk to the owner about the situation because it was past the 14 day return policy and the adapters had been used. I understood, and he said he'd leave a message and the owner would call me back. After 2 and a half months and countless calls, messages and emails, I had yet to hear from the owner, and each time I did talk to someone, they said they would pass along the message to the owner, and they couldn't do anything more themselves. I finally hit a point a few days ago where my only recourse was to file a complaint with the BBB and raise my experience on public media. I was hoping to get a resolution from wheel adapters usa, but they apparently refuse to stand even remotely close to their business goal of "total customer satisfaction, so you can rest assured knowing you’ll promptly get exactly what you ordered."

I would discourage anyone from using wheel adapters usa, and I'm interested to know if my experience was an anomaly or if others have had a bad experience with them.

At this point, I'm out the money for the adapters, the extra tire / wheel change, the alignment and the hub rings and ET lug nuts, and I'm back to my original wheel setup, and I can't do anything with the wheel adapters I have because it's a set of 3 and a set of 1.

I'm healthy, my family is healthy, I'm employed and I love my 4runner, so it's far from bad for me. Just wanted to state my piece and ask the question.

Be well.
