I understand the desire to do it yourself, the spod I’m looking at is like 850 or something but it literally has all the hookups and is super easy to install. Location would be on top of the fuse box. Hook positives to it, hook negatives to it. Built in fuses. No hassle.

I would imagine with a custom fuse box you could mount anywhere as long as you get a piece of metal cut to mount somewhere. A custom set up may not fit on top of the fuse box if you’re doing relays, which with the wires, take up a good bit of space.

Another option would be the trunk and mounting to molle panels. Avoid the engine bay all together.
