i should point out that in the current front bar position, we have enough aero buffeting at 70+ mph up there that with the fairing extended out, it was vibrating up and down and actually tapping the roof sheetmetal. by pushing it back on its mounting adjustments it took out enough movement that it not longer does that at any speed or over any terrain. i DON'T think its a problem with the product, just an anomoly of the aero at that speed with the fairing in that exact position. elsewhere, it may not have that issue.
i don't mind having to buy 3 bars. in the future i may push the middle bar further back to accommodate different gear loads at which point i might need to utilize the front bar too.

Is that the aluminum or steel crossbar? I'm planning on getting the steel version next month.
