When I had LEDs it took a few times inserting at different directions (9 and 12) plus some height adjustment to line them up. They looked bright, but wasn’t happy driving at night. Especially during the rain.
Finally ditched the LEDs in the headlights, didn’t project very well. There are some good threads on this and a current conversation in the What Did You Today thread. The headlight housing is the main reason for this issue, the way is disperses light from what I have read.
I have been very happy with the Philips X-TremeVision. They won’t last as long as the stock or LEDs.
