That is how many people view schools. I am not sure about other states, but here we have "per pupil foundation grants", basically how much each student brings in funding to their home district. The majority of districts have a funding level of about $7,000 per student, as does mine, but neighboring districts that are literally a mile or two away get over $10,000 per student. Obviously those districts are much better equipped to provide the tools students need for more effective distance learning. It is neither fair nor equitable.
