Good job on the installation.
For that short hole in the crossbar, maybe it’s plugged with some aluminum shavings from the TNutz drill/tap process. One of mine came that way also, but I was able to clean it out with a thin probe. You could try cleaning up the threads with a 1/4 - 20 Tap. If the hole is actually not drilled deep enough you would need to first drill it deeper before tapping it. I believe the drill bit to use is a 13/64 inch. @Eitek1 will know for sure what to do.
