I would love to weld in a sheet to cover, but I am going to use a metal mesh and then also fiberglass mat with resin and bondo filler. Easier said than done, but it doesn't look extremely difficult. It should get the job done. If anything, it will be a learning experience. It doesn't have to look perfect for me. The truck has 255k on it.
