RTT just sits on the rack as pictured. 23Zero tents (and others, I assume) have a rail on the bottom that a bolt and bolt holder slide into. User slides in a bolt to the 'inside' if the crossbeam and one to the 'outside' of the crossbeam. A flat piece then is bolted to the bottom with 2 locking nuts. Sounds easy, and if you have lots of space under the tent (like I did with my last setup, with Yakima rack and bars) it goes pretty easy. The closer the rack is to the top of the truck, the more difficult it is to start the nut on the bottom. The NiseRack sits high enough that everything fits well, it is just a bit of a chore to get the 'inside' nut into place. Once on then getting it snug with a long ratchet wrench is pretty easy.
