Trying to picture how to do tbis...couldnt i just take the plastic metra bracket off and reuse the metal bracket with less screws? Im sure it would be secure. Just finished my install..needs to be tweaked a bit. I think i can go one notch lower on the display. Think OP is a tad lower on his screen than mine.

Also need to get new yellow clips..mine wore out during install... Lots of trial and error
