Yeah, its definitely odd that it just spits on the frame like that. Can't imagine why I wasn't designed to drain somewhere that makes sense. I just barbed the line and followed the frame until it poked out behind the splashguard and pulled it down - used the same lower zip tie point in your pic, thanks!
PS - I kinda wanna clean the evap now because of that thread, but I don't really have any weird smells/blockages.
