I replaced all the lines on mine with copper nickel line which does not rust and is easily bent & flared. 10MM ends in bulk. I also replaced the rear rubber lines while I was there, they are cheap.
I don't see how you could put a previously bent line over the tank without dropping it but one you are bending is doable. Chances are slim you'll get the old one completely out.
