Well, kinda. The brake booster is also the ABS and traction control system in the 01/02's. ABS was changed from 3-channel to 4-channel, so almost all of the brake lines are different, it uses a completely different ABS computer, integrated differently into the dash harness. Heck, it is even (partially) integrated into the engine control system with the sort-of drive-by-wire system for the throttle.
Use a vacuum pump. The diesel motor should already have one - either electric or mechanical.
