Your 2011 absolutely had all of the traction, stability, etc etc etc sensors that could go wrong. Only thing really new would be TSS, and that isn't that many more sensors in the grand scheme of things.
$1k for the taillights? $195 part from Toyota. Was he talking about the new headlight assemblies w/ LED? That would make more sense...
You can probably get a longer extended warranty for less or similar - someone posted that thread earlier.
With a '21, you can connect your phone directly through CarPlay or via Bluetooth. Don't bulk the thing down with a CD player...
