Yup, I had Surfs back in the day and would enjoy the boost. I never abused my rides, but I can see folks "taking advantage of it" thus shortening the life of the turbine and engine.
Toyota hasn't jumped on the turbo bandwagon just yet, but they are beginning. (Lexus LS turbo V6, NX turbo engine) Let's hope they make them robust enough that reliability is that of their NA engines.

I'm thinking that, long-term, they'll rely more on the added power coming from a hybrid platform. Better longevity from an added motor versus a turbo, and probably acceptable power increase for most folks (Rav4 Prime). Just my thoughts.
