Yeah, I am not too sure either, but too much focus on filtrations does still worry me a bit. I would really like to see what flow rate ranges manufacturers recommend for a vehicle, and what specific filters correspond to. For now, I tend to use OEM (truck & 4R) or OEM & Mobil1 (Jeep). I am running out of my Denso filters for the 4Runner so need to find something soon.
I had read an article that talked about the importance of oil flow rates through filters and how filter manufacturers were simply playing the micron game at the cost of flow. That is what got me thinking a couple of years ago.
