GENERAL DISCUSSIONS SECTION RULES:

1. Topics are to be related to the Toyota 4Runner.
Post HERE if your topic can be applied to any generation 4Runner. If you're posting a question about your specific model year truck, please do so in the correct generation subforum (IE: 3rd Gen T4R's). Threads may be moved at admin / mod discretion. Access the other subforums from the home page or by clicking the Forum Jump drop down menu.

2. Please help keep our forum organized.
Posting in the proper subforum helps keep our forum free of clutter. If you're looking to sell something, we have a classifieds section just for you. If you're unsure of which subforum to post in, consult the home page for descriptions of each.

3. Report Spam and other rule breakers
Removing spammers, bots, or unruly members is a big priority. If you see any of these, please do not reply to it and report the message to us. Reporting is as easy as clicking this exclamation point below the offender's username.




T4R.ORG FORUM RULES

Usage of this forum is dependent upon acceptance of the following rules:

1. No Whining
This includes, but is not limited to, whining about other members, whining about the mods, whining about the admins, whining about the forum in general, whining about other forums, etc. Determinations on the issue of whining shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the admins / mods.

2. No Personal Attacks
This includes, but is not limited to, name calling, racial slurs, threats, badgering, shouting (typing in ALL CAPS), etc.

3. No Trolling or Posts For the Purpose of Instigating Flame Wars
This includes, but is not limited to, posts designed to instigate political and religious flame wars (e.g., starting a poll asking whether or not you think the President is a re****). Trolling includes making deliberate provocative posts with the aim of inciting an angry response or disrupting discussion. Determinations on the issue of whether a post was made for the purpose of trolling or of instigating a flame war shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the admins / mods.

4. No Rated X, R, or NC-17 Content
Please use discretion while posting in order to help keep this a "work-safe" website.

5. No Solicitations from Businesses without Prior Permission
This includes, but is not limited to, product previews, ads, and other forms of "spam" from a business. If you have an accessory to sell and want to make ONE announcement about it in the Accessories sub-forum that is okay.

6. No pics unrelated to the T4R or excessive pic posting
Server space is expensive - therefore this site should not be used as a free photo hosting site for pics unrelated to the T4R (e.g. pics of your dog, your wedding, your vacation to Timbuktu, your sports memorabilia collection, your Corvette, etc, unless of course there's a pic of a T4R in the shot). If you post pics unrelated to the T4R it may be deleted at the discretion of the mods/admins. In addition, please refrain from excessive pic posting (e.g., attaching dozens of photoshopped versions of your taillights to see which version looks best). If you post an excessive amount of pics they may be deleted at the discretion of the mods/admins. Also, please do not post pics of another member's ride without their permission.

You're welcome to post as many photos as you like, so long as they're hosted elsewhere (IE: Photobucket, flickr, imageshack, etc.)

7. No Multiple Registrations
Registering under more than one username is prohibited. Registering multiple usernames will result in a permanent ban of original and all related usernames.

8. No multiple postings
So that our members benefit from continuity in the discussions on this board, posting the same/similar thread in multiple sub-forums is prohibited.

9. No post whoring
If you're one of those guys with too much time on your hands and you don't have anything better to do than post up every two minutes making pointless threads or just letting us know what's on your mind at that very second, then this forum is not for you. Determinations on the issue of post whoring shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the admins / mods.

10. No creepy or gigantic signatures
Even though they are harmless, please do not use sigs that trace and display info about the viewer's IP address, location, etc. Also, so that our members don't have to constantly scroll down past gigantic sigs, please keep your sigs within the following ranges:

a) No more than 5 lines of text (including empty lines)
b) No pic taller than 200 pixels or wider than 500 pixels.

11. No Links / Discussion / Promotion of Illegal Activities
This includes, but is not limited to, links / discussion / promotion regarding software piracy (including duplication of Toyota Navigation DVDs) and Carfax requests on records of a particular VIN, etc.

12. No Posting in SPAM Threads
Please do not post in SPAM threads. Doing so makes detection and moderation of SPAM more difficult for the admins/mods. Posting in SPAM will result in a one-day temporary banning.

13. Have a good time!
The point of this forum is for all of us, as members of a community, to learn about the 4Runner and have fun. Hopefully by following the above guidelines we can make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

Failure to follow the above rules can result in warnings or permanent banning from Toyota-4Runner.org.
