Almost all of my trips are in the Mojave, so if your worried about the BCDC sitting in the heat of the engine bay like I was, you may want to consider using the Long Ranger Prado 150 Redarc mount available from Out of Town 4wd in Australia that mounts the Redarc in front of the radiator in the cool air. The same design mount is available from Redarc Australia,
BCDC Mounting Bracket to suit Toyota LandCruiser Prado 150 | REDARC Electronics. The top mounts on the Prado 150 and the 4runner are identical, but you will have to relocate your horn. You may have to get creative with the bottom brace, but it amounts to drilling an additional hole in the brace. No temp worries, no temperature sensor necessary.
