I don’t have a RTT, but I see your dilemma. I would much rather keep a dirty shovel mounted to the rack, to avoid bringing mud or dirt into the Plano box with my other recovery gear. I suppose putting it into a trash bag would help keep things cleaner, but it would also be nice to free up space in the recovery box by not having the shovel in there to begin with.

Would be nice if Sherpa came out with a secure side mounted solution to solve both our problems.
