The drawer system is a universal set, and then the wing kit is vehicle specific. So there is going to be some tinkering to get it to mount. Figuring out the right combination of height of the wood support and the spacers/washers needed to securely fasten it is a majority of the work/time.
This video explains it pretty well, and gives a better visual example. He ran into a lot of the same problems/concerns I did, and would recommend anyone considering it to watch it. Note: his is not the correct drawer system so the wing kit does not fit as it normally would which he explains in the beginning.

Like I said though, after the installation, I am happy. They are exactly what I wanted and needed in a system. The installation is just a PITA.
Yes, I mounted the table to my rear bumper. It is a front runner drop down tailgate table!
